It's a bit of a wink to the painting from Titiaan, the Flora in the Italian Uffizi. I think it's one of the most beautifull paintings I've ever seen. (And yes, I've seen a few)
Although the painting of Titiaan is more evenly lit, I gave it my own spin. I didn't used the same flowers and I choosed to show more of the breast to emphasis the beauty and for a more modest pose.
The light came from the left side, the shadow on the faces reveals it. A reflector on the right side prevent that the face dissapeared in the dark. By keeping the head a little bit down I created a more serene pose but it also gives a bit of a mystery beacause the eyes of Sofie are kept in the dark.
